Thirty-nine black-and-white and color photographs and three posters by photographer Lee Marmon. Images include: portraits of Laguna and other Native American elders, views of Laguna and Acoma Pueblos, the Acoma Mission, Fr. Kenneth of Acoma (1952), Buffalo dancers, Butterfly dancers, Laguna Eagle Dancers, Southwestern landscapes, and the governor of Laguna with the Lincoln cane. Activities portrayed include Laguna women plastering a wall, mass on the Laguna plaza, and various dances including the buffalo, butterfly, and eagle dances. The photographs were exhibited at the Center for Southwest Research in Spring, 2000.

Lee Howard Marmon was born as the second son of Lily and Henry "Hank" Marmon on September 25, 1925 in Laguna, New Mexico. Marmon's interest in photography was sparked when he took his first photograph at the age of 11 of an automobile accident on Route 66. Initially planning to attend the University of New Mexico to study geology, Marmon dropped out after several semesters to begin his World War II career as a Sergeant-Major on Shemya Island, Alaska in 1943.
